Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)

The Hospital Incident Command System is activated in the event of a disaster. Kern Medical has staff trained in the HICS.

• When activated, every employee has access to the Emergency Operations Plan containing:

o Job Action sheets for all HICS positions.

o Policies and Procedures for all hazard events.

• All employees must:

o Follow instruction issued by your supervisor at the time of an incident.

o Be prepared to provide detailed assessments of their patients and their work.
