Safety

Providing a safe environment is the responsibility of… ALL employees. Safety is monitored through Environment of Care Rounds: • Semiannually in patient care areas • Yearly in non-patient care areas. Keep Areas Clear and Safe • Keep work areas free of obstruction and clutter • No WOWs gurneys, equipment or beds blocking hallways, fire alarms/extinguishers or exits • Doorstops (of any kind) should never be used to hold open doors • All oxygen tanks must be secured in tank holders to beds or gurneys at all times. Never move an oxygen tank without a holder.
