Hazardous Communication Program

Kern Medical provides a Hazardous Communication Program to keep you safe from hazardous chemicals that may be present in your work environment.

• All hazardous chemicals will have labels identifying the substance and appropriate warnings.

• If the substance has to be transferred to another container, or if the original label is rendered illegible, that container will be labeled with a secondary label.

• There is a list of hazardous chemicals used at the hospital and clinics:

o Maintained electronically on Kern Medical’s shared network system .

o Hard copy available from Environmental Services (EVS).
