• Safety Data Sheets are available to all employees and contract labor.

• Kern Medical’s primary source for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information: 1-800-451-8346 .

o Provide them with the Product Name, Number, Manufacturer, and UPC code and a fax number where they can send the information.

• Kern Medicals’ SDS library is maintained in the Engineering Department.

Effective June 1, 2015 the MSDS will be the SDS.

Note : Drugs, as defined in the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, in solid, final form for direct administration to the patient (i.e., tablets, pills, capsules) are exempt from coverage under section (b)(6)(viii) of the HCS. MSDSs are required for all other hazardous drugs.
