Kern Medical is proud to announce the official launch of its General Surgery Residency Program, further expanding its commitment to developing the next

The program begins with a strong cohort of six residents: two PGY-2 residents who have transferred from other accredited programs and four PGY-1 residents who are beginning their surgical training at Kern Medical. Under the leadership of dedicated faculty and program leadership, the residency will provide comprehensive, hands-on training in a wide range of surgical disciplines. Residents will gain robust clinical experience through Kern Medical’s busy surgical services, trauma care, and collaborative rotations with partner institutions. generation of physicians in the Central Valley.
