OMEGROWN For Dr. McCrink, medicine isn’t just a profession, it’s a calling rooted right here in Kern County. A proud Bakersfield native, Dr. McCrink will graduate this summer from her four-year residency in Emergency Medicine at Kern Medical, where she’s trained since July 2021. H Throughout her residency, Dr. McCrink has distinguished herself not only through her clinical excellence but also through her leadership and dedication to her peers, patients and her community. She is the proud recipient of multiple honors, including Resident of the Year, Outstanding Graduate of the Year, and Outstanding Department Resident. She also served as Chair of the Resident Advisory Council, advocating for fellow trainees and helping shape the future of medical education at Kern Medical.
Geocel-Grace McCrink, DO, MPH Bakersfield, CA
Driven by a passion for patient care, mentorship, and innovation in emergency medicine, Dr. McCrink brings a rich background in public health, global health research, and medical education to the bedside. Her journey has taken her across the country and beyond, but her heart has always remained in the Central Valley. A UC Davis graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Dr. McCrink went on to earn a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida before completing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia. With each step, she built the foundation for the compassionate, skilled physician she is today. Her return to train at Kern Medical allowed her to serve her community. As she continues to grow in her profession, Dr. McCrink remains deeply committed to giving back to the community that raised her. We are very excited that she will remain in Bakersfield to advance her career and continue her lifelong journey in medicine.
