PPE - Key Points

TO PUT ON: 1. Gown 2. Mask/respirator 3. Goggles 4. Gloves Put on PPE before entering patient room. Make sure all ties are secured

TO TAKE OFF: 1. Gloves 2. Goggles 3. Gown 4. Mask 5. Respirator (N95) • Remove gloves, gown and goggles at doorway, before leaving the room • If using a mask (not a respirator), remove before leaving the room • If using a respirator - Perform hand hygiene, then remove respirator outside the room, then perform hand hygiene • For any kind of PPE, always performhand hygiene after removing. With a respirator, perform hand hygiene before and after removing
